6th year Higher Level English students who are studying The Spinning Heart by Donal Ryan, recently travelled to Dublin to see the production brought to life in the Gaiety Theatre. The novella is set in 2011 and speaks for contemporary Ireland like no other novel. It captures the language and spirit of rural Ireland with uncanny perception and effectively articulates the words and thoughts of a generation.
