Here at Mount Saint Michael, we are committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all the children in our school community. We strongly believe that children should learn in an environment that is supportive, caring, positive and safe. Safeguarding is about ensuring that children are protected from all forms of harm, including bullying or ill-treatment.

This Child Safeguarding Statement was drafted by the Board of Management to meet criteria set out in Circular 0041/2025 “Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools Revised 2025” and in accordance with the guidelines included in the Children’s First Act 2015.

The Child Safeguarding Statement (including the Risk Assessment) 2025–2026 was reviewed and ratified by the Board of Management on October 2nd 2025.
